A: Absolutely! First, we will establish your needs to determine which type of financing will work best for you. |
Q: Can West Coast Motorsport, Inc. offer the same incentives as my local dealer? |
A: Absolutely! Any of the Inc.tives offered by a car manufacturer through the local dealers are also available to West Coast Motorsport, Inc. |
Q: Can I finance the cost of the aftermarket products into my payment? |
A: Yes. Most lenders will do up to 105%, 110%, or even 115% of the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP). What this means for you is that you can install thousands of dollars of aftermarket products without tying up valuable cash, credit lines, or working capital. SInc.in most cases, West Coast Motorsport, Inc.will be able to sell you a vehicle well under MSRP, you will have an even greater ability to customize your vehicle with only a small Inc.ase in your monthly payment! |
|
|
Lease vs. Buy |
Q: Should I Lease or Buy the vehicle? |
A: Of course, this is a multifaceted question with a number of variables that are affected by Inc.e, cash flow, credit, financial goals, savings, investments, the length of time you intend to keep the car, tax issues, payment figures, resale value, and so on. Visit our Leasing page to find out more about the factors one should consider when deciding to Lease or Buy. |
|
Q: How much money should I put down? |
|
A: The dollar amount will depend upon the price of the vehicle. Of course, the more you put down (whether you choose a lease or sales contract), the lower your payment. There are two things to consider when deciding upon a down payment (dollar amount) and structuring payments (24, 36, 48, 60 months): "Time Value" of money and "Opportunity Cost." The "Time Value" of money suggest that a future dollar will be worth more than a present dollar. That is, a $400 per month car payment will be the same in 48 months as it is today. However, in 48 months, with inflation and an assumed Inc.ase in Inc.e, that same payment will actually cost less than it does today, relatively. "Opportunity Cost" is the cost of doing one thing with your money versus another. For example, what is the cost of putting $10,000 down on a new BMW rather than investing $5,000 of the money and using the other $5,000 as a down payment? Which choice will make, or cost, more money? In a nutshell, it may make sense to finance a vehicle for the longest term possible and with the least amount of money down . . . or one may adjust these factors to create a payment that suits their needs. But imagine in the previous scenario you put $5,000 down and invested the other $5,000. It should not be too difficult to cover the added interest (+/- 9.00%) you are paying (as a result of not putting the additional $5,000 down) on the car loan with your investment, plus you keep the capital liquid in case of emergency, and with the "time value" of money, that higher payment will only become relatively less over the ensuing 36, 48, or 60 months. (This, of course, is only the opinion of West Coast Motorsport, Inc.and is only one of many opinions that may be held in regard to down payments, leasing, and buying. Please consult your financial advisor before making your final decision.) |

|
SMOG / State Inspection |
Q: How will my car pass the SMOG or State Inspection? |
A: In most cases, customizing your vehicle will not affect the SMOG or State Inspection. Wheels, tires, suspension upgrades, brake upgrades, transmission upgrades, and styling can all be done without impacting your chances of passing SMOG or State Inspection. Normally, there is a "visual" inspection in addition to the actual tests run on the vehicle - here you may need to reinstall your factory airbox (when applicable) to pass the visual inspection. Many aftermarket air intake systems have been CARB (California Air Resource Board) certified, so look for the certification number on the part or on a paper certificate that accompanied the part. Having this number should satisfy the requirements of a SMOG or State Inspection facility. |
|
|
Warranty & Service |
Q: What happens to my factory warranty? |
A: In most cases, the factory warranty will be unaffected by the installation of aftermarket products. In some cases, you may even be installing a factory part that has been sourced from one model and installed on another to improve performance! However, the installation of some aftermarket products will affect your factory warranty. Each case in handled on an individualized basis. Most aftermarket products carry a minimum 12 month warranty. Some products (e.g., Tokico) offer a lifetime warranty (which far exceeds the manufacturer's warranty). Furthermore, West Coast Motorsport, Inc.maintains detailed records of each clients transaction, so all of the products pre-installed on your vehicle can be easily traced back to the purchase/install date in the event of a warranty claim. |
In some instances, the parts may even carry a warranty that matches the factory warranty (e.g., Brabus)! For example, in the unlikely event that you experience some difficulty with your new Brabus engine, Brabus will put their Chief Mechanic (laptop in hand) on a plane and your problem is being solved before you know it! If your new Brabus engine As previously mentioned, the factory warranty will be affected by the level of customization desired. However, all products will carry a minimum 12-month manufacturer warranty. Some products, such as Tokico struts, offer a lifetime warranty (which far exceeds the manufacturer's warranty on factory parts. Furthermore, West Coast Motorsport, Inc.maintains detailed records of each clients transaction, so all of the products pre-installed on your vehicle can be easily traced back to the purchase/install date. |
|
Q: Who can service my new vehicle? |
A: Service can be done by your local dealer or mechanic. Be sure to keep all service records. However, it may be advantageous to use your local dealer so that you build rapport with the service department/service technicians. Having built that relationship would be helpful in the event of a warranty claim, as the service manager will already know you and be familiar with your vehicle. In turn, the dealer may be more willing to accommodate you and you needs. |
